Greece’s Rivers Still Face Obstacles as Europe Sets Removal Record

Greece has yet to undertake a coordinated effort to remove artificial river barriers, despite an estimated 22,500 such structures disrupting its waterways, but environmental organization MedINA says ongoing projects are bringing the country closer to taking that step.
