Zoe Ball Set for New TV Role Just Weeks After Returning to BBC Radio 2
- Zoe Ball resigned from her position as the host of BBC Radio 2's morning program on December 20, 2024, concluding almost six years in that role.
- She left to focus on family following a tough 2024, which included her mother Julia's cancer diagnosis and passing in April.
- In May 2025, Zoe returned to BBC Radio 2 with a new Saturday show airing from 1pm to 3pm, taking over the slot previously occupied by the long-running Pick Of The Pops program, which was moved to Sundays.
- Meanwhile, Zoe is set to co-host a new factual TV series about the history of maths with her father Johnny Ball and son Woody Cook, based on his book Wonders Beyond Numbers.
- Johnny Ball revealed that having Zoe involved is a major attraction for television executives, and he is optimistic that the show will be approved to feature three generations of their family together.
