While France was experiencing the second warmest month of June since 1900, swimming pools and other places of water activities find themselves stormed. Designed to relax, these spaces have in recent weeks become the scene of violence on the part of the staff. To the point that some places close, to the detriment of other users who, they, have asked nothing.
In a press release published on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, the authorities of the city of Porrentruy, Switzerland, announced that they were limiting access to the municipal swimming pool to people of Swiss nationality or those holding a work permit. They justified this decision by citing numerous instances of incivility.
The outdoor swimming pool Porrentruy is quieter, since only Swiss and foreigners with residence permits have access. The measure follows conflicts, but opinions differ.
