- On Tuesday, physician Robert Malone resigned from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's vaccine advisory committee, ACIP, following a federal court ruling that nullified the panel's actions.
- Malone's resignation followed a public dispute with Department of Health and Human Services spokesperson Andrew Nixon over appeals strategy. "Suffice to say I do not like drama, and have better things to do," Malone said.
- HHS Chief Science Officer Martin Kulldorff defended Nixon while confirming the departure, stating he can "sympathize with decision to step away." The agency has not yet announced whether it will appeal the court ruling.
