Rezoning approval means redevelopment of Port Elgin southern gateway

A three-storey, mixed-use building with 16 residential units on the upper floors and ground floor commercial space will be built on the northeast corner of Highway 21 and Con. 6 at the south end of Port Elgin. Town council approved a rezoning after the developer – Rae – made concessions following a public meeting earlier this year that was deferred to allow changes.
