A retired Massachusetts State Police trooper has been sentenced to three months in federal prison for his role in a bribery scheme to provide Commercial Driver’s License credentials to applicants who were not qualified. Calvin Butner, 64, of Halifax was sentenced to three months plus one year of supervised release with the first three months in home confinement, according to a news release from the Office of the U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts.
