No noticeable groundwater contamination, so far, from N.B. gasoline spill
New Brunswick – A 36,000-litre gasoline spill on a southern New Brunswick highway has shown no noticeable contamination to groundwater or soil two months after it happened. Monitoring wells have been installed at the tanker truck crash site near Hampton to track petroleum concentrations and its potential impact on water. Although concentrations in surface water have been below regulatory criteria, regular monitoring will continue. CBC News report
