From OHIO STATE HIGHWAY PATROL The Ohio State Highway Patrol, in conjunction with the Perrysburg Police Department and the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, conducted an OVI checkpoint on Aug. 29 on Front Street. A total of 569 vehicles were checked from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. In that time, three vehicles were diverted and two drivers were arrested for OVI. If people plan to consume alcohol, they should designated a driver or make other travel arrangements before they drink. The Ohio State Highway Patrol reminds everyone to call #677 if they suspect an impaired driver.
