Resistance of monkey smallpox to its main treatment better understood

Tecovirimat is used to fight the mpox, or smallpox of the monkey, but its functioning was not well known. A team from the Institut Pasteur has shown how it blocks the spread of the virus and why it is sometimes inoperative. This discovery opens the way for more effective antivirals.
