The council housing scheme recently installed the solar-powered system which can keep up with government targets for low carbon. Three heat pumps now provide the heating and hot water via a small district heat network. Councillor Ian Manders claims these upgrades will save around 23 tonnes of climate changing carbon emissions each year.
