Residential Structure Fire Near Laurel Caused by Lightning Strike

Firefighters from Laurel were called to a residence on Trussum Pond Road for a fire around 10 Saturday night. Firefighters arriving at the scene found a 2-story home with heavy fire showing from the roof and second floor. All residents were able to escape without injury and the home was equipped with working smoke detectors.
