- Cregger avoided CGI for the sequence, opting for practical detonations using 150-pound human sacks loaded with liquid blood. The production team rigged these 'blood bags' to explode upon impact, ensuring the scene looked tangible and real.
- The stunt nearly killed the lead actor when a 150-pound body dropped too soon, landing an inch from Abrams's head. Cregger said, "It would've killed him. If he had been one step to the right, he would've died."
- Rounding out the cast are Zach Cherry, Kali Reis, Paul Walter Hauser, and Johnno Wilson. Cregger described the film as "a thrilling and terrifying reinvention of the Resident Evil franchise.
