Resident Alien Ending with Season 4 Finale After Cancellation by USA Network
UNITED STATES, JUL 25 – Showrunner Chris Sheridan confirms Season 4 as the final season of Resident Alien while leaving open the possibility of future projects within the same world.
- Late Thursday, USA Network halted 'Resident Alien' with three episodes left to air, TheWrap reported.
- In a recent interview, series creator and showrunner Chris Sheridan revealed he knew going into Season 4 that this would be the final season, leaving the door cracked open for potential continuation.
- Alongside Alan Tudyk, Resident Alien featured a large ensemble cast and tied into USA Network’s scripted slate alongside the August 15 premiere of John Grisham’s The Rainmaker.
- A Netflix viewership boost last summer shows, experienced via streaming, and “I'm so proud of how good Season 4 is and especially proud that we were able to finish as strongly as we did,” Alan Tudyk said.
- In its fourth season, the series produced by UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with Amblin TV and Dark Horse Entertainment, marking the series’ alignment with network strategy.
