A study conducted in the US and UK using data from over 160,000 people showed that the increasing incidence of cancer in adults under 55 may be related to rapid biological aging. It was determined that the risk of cancer at a young age increases by up to 15% in those whose biological age progresses faster than their chronological age. Rapid aging was particularly associated with lung, uterine, and gastrointestinal cancers.
