Macron hosts Lebanon’s PM as Beirut appeals for €500 million in aid
French President Emmanuel Macron has held talks Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam in Paris, with both leaders using the meeting to push for stability in southern Lebanon and to rally support for a country still reeling from weeks of war.
The Lebanese Prime Minister is received by Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday, while negotiations between Lebanon and Israel are due to begin in the coming days.
French President Emmanuel Macron and Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam today called for negotiations to strengthen the fragile ceasefire in Lebanon and called on Israel to respect the territorial integrity of its neighbour after talks in Paris.
