Report: Émilien Pitre Promoted To Triple-A Syracuse
Émilien Pitre. (Credits: MLB Pipeline on X) Émilien Pitre is being promoted to Triple-A Syracuse according to Will Sammon of the Athletic. Pitre joins Elian Peña as two notable promotions on Sunday. Peña was promoted from Single-A St. Lucie to High-A Brooklyn while Pitre is going from Double-A Binghamton to Triple-A Syracuse. The 23-year-old is one step away from the major leagues. Pitre was one of three prospects acquired from the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for pitcher Freddy Peralta. Pitre, a second-round pick in 2024 out of Kentucky, has been tremendous with Binghamton since the trade. With the Rumble Ponies, he is 15-for-40 (.375) with a stolen base. Prior to the deal, he slashed .323/.451/.492 (.943 OPS) with the Montgomery Biscuits, the Rays’ Double-A affiliate. He actually began the season in High-A with the Bowling Green Hot Rods where he had an .297 batting average and .842 OPS prior to being promoted to Double-A. Overall, in 2026, he is slashing .316/.433/.439 (.872 OPS) with 33 stolen bases and more walks (72) than strikeouts (44) between the High-A and Double-A levels. Pitre is the team’s 13th-ranked prospect according to Baseball America. MLB Pipeline has him ranked No. 12.
