In Marinaleda, a town of approximately 2,600 inhabitants in the Seville region of Spain, the monthly rent for municipal housing is surprising. The municipality is now preparing to complete 24 new social housing units, which are planned to be rented out for between 15 and 20 euros per month.
Housing has become one of the main concerns of citizens: access to a home, both in property and in rent, has been gaining weight among the concerns of the population for years and continues to occupy the top positions in the barometers of the Center for Sociological Research (CIS).
