Puerto Rican Religion Teacher Indicted on Sex Trafficking Charges Involving Two Minors
Lizamarie Rivera-Garcia, a 42-year-old religion teacher, was arrested for allegedly trafficking two teen boys for sex, according to W. Stephen Muldrow, US Attorney for the District of Puerto Rico.
Rivera-Garcia targeted a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old boy between December 2023 and November 2024, according to Muldrow.
She faces multiple charges, including sex trafficking of a child and coercion, with penalties ranging from 10 years to life in prison.
Rebecca C. Gonzalez-Ramos stated that the sexual exploitation of children is unacceptable and emphasized the commitment to protect victims and prosecute sex traffickers.
A 42-year-old woman from Bayamón was arrested today, Monday, by special agents of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (HSI), charged with child sex trafficking.
