European Soccer Body UEFA Ties Financial Future to US Agency Relevent in 2nd Rights Sales Deal
The U.S. agency will sell media, sponsorship and licensing rights for UEFA national-team competitions after beating rival bids, UEFA said.
- On Tuesday, UEFA confirmed a deal with Relevent Sports, part-owned by Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross, to market commercial rights for all national team competitions from 2028 to 2036.
- The agreement replaces CAA Eleven, which managed UEFA's media, sponsorship, and licensing rights for the past 15 years after its establishment in 2012 by Creative Artists Agency.
- UEFA said Relevent presented "a compelling vision" and had "a proven track record representing UEFA club competitions" during the evaluation process analyzing global market dynamics.
- CAA Eleven will continue working on national team competitions through the men's Euro 2028, which will be co-hosted by England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales.
- The contract spans the men's UEFA European Championship in 2032 and 2036, generating revenue to support 55 member federations and maintain a reserves fund around $560 million.
