- The Sharks sought organizational depth by adding Laurent Brossoit as an experienced third goalie for the AHL while shifting his $6.25 million salary-cap hit through the 2026-27 season to Chicago.
- Healthy again after injury, Laurent Brossoit missed the entire 2024-25 season after a meniscus operation and has played in 140 NHL games, including 23 this 2023-24 season with the Winnipeg Jets.
