A young deer who had fallen into the water last night at the lock of the Danube power plant Ottensheim in Upper Austria was rescued from it by three fire brigades.
The volunteer fire brigades Höflein, Ottensheim and Wilhering rescued a roe deer from the lock area of the Danube power plant Ottensheim (Urfahr-Umgebung district) on Wednesday evening. The young animal probably fell into the water, discovered an opening in the lock wall and disappeared in it, reported the Höflein fire commander Michael Hammer. At first it was not possible to lure the animal from the boat back into the water of the lock area.
