Redding City Council votes to hire recruiting firm to find next city manager

After weeks of disagreement over how to fill Redding’s city manager position, the City Council voted Monday night to hire a recruiting firm to lead the search for the city’s next city manager.

Redding council to open recruitment for a new city manager

The council is contracting Rocklin-based recruiter Ralph Anderson & Associates to run the recruitment. It’s a decision met with mixed opinions by council members, some of whom wanted to offer the role to the city’s interim manager.
