Dylan Larkin Expands Trade List by Adding Atlantic Division Heavyweights: Report
Detroit is seeking NHL-ready players for Larkin, while Dallas has rejected any deal involving center Wyatt Johnston.
Detroit Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin recently added the Dallas Stars to his trade list, though the Stars rejected inquiries regarding center Wyatt Johnston, according to MLive's Ansar Khan.
On June 27, Detroit Red Wings general manager Steve Yzerman confirmed the trade request, noting Larkin provided a short list of teams for which he would waive his no-trade clause.
Johnston is nearly seven years younger than Larkin and recently posted 45 goals and 41 assists in 2025-26, outperforming the veteran despite signing a team-friendly contract.
Reporter Helene St. James of The Detroit Free Press reported Thursday that the Florida Panthers, Minnesota Wild, and Vegas Golden Knights have made "no offers" that intrigued Detroit.
While Larkin remains with the Detroit Red Wings, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman does not believe he will start the 2026-27 season in Detroit as Yzerman continues seeking "value-now players" in exchange.
