Walker Buehler Gets His World Series Ring as Dodgers Visit Boston
BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS, JUL 24 – Walker Buehler received his 2024 World Series ring nine months after the Dodgers title, presented by former teammates during a Dodgers-Red Sox series at Fenway Park.
- Saturday at Fenway Park, Walker Buehler will receive his 2024 World Series ring before the game against the Dodgers, during a ceremony with former teammates.
- Having spent seven seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Buehler signed a one-year $21.05 million deal last offseason with a $25 million mutual option for 2026, following several former Dodgers in receiving 2024 rings after leaving the team.
- As part of the reunion, Kershaw, Ohtani and Freeman present Buehler his ring and MLB gold program jersey at Fenway Park before the series at Fenway Park, his first since joining the Red Sox.
- On Sunday, Walker Buehler will face the Los Angeles Dodgers, his former team, and Dustin May, who is 6-6 with a 4.73 ERA for LA.
- Preferring a low-key moment, Buehler said, `I told them I just want them to bring it over`, expressing his wish to avoid an on-field ceremony.
