Linamar Corp. Reports $183.1M Q2 Profit
The auto parts maker said sales rose 19% year over year and net earnings increased to $183.1 million, while tariffs still weigh on some products.
On Wednesday, Linamar Corporation reported record second-quarter sales of $3.14 billion, rising from $2.64 billion last year, as the Guelph, Ontario-based auto parts manufacturer capitalized on strong demand.
Net earnings climbed to $183.1 million during the quarter, up significantly from $126.9 million in the same period last year, driven by operational efficiency and market demand.
Executive Chair Linda Hasenfratz announced the company is raising its quarterly dividend to 32 cents per share, reflecting confidence in Linamar's financial trajectory and shareholder returns.
While Section 232 tariffs impact some industrial products, Linamar noted that more than 90 per cent of its sales remain tariff-free, shielding the company from broader trade disruptions.
A recording of Wednesday's earnings call is available online for investors seeking further details on the company's operational results and strategic outlook for coming quarters.
