Record eight BVI, USVI athletes to compete in Tokyo at World Athletics Championships

TORTOLA — A record eight athletes — six from the British Virgin Islands, two from the U.S. Virgin Islands — will represent the territories at the 2025 World Athletics Championships, set for Sept. 13-21 in Tokyo, Japan.

Alice Finot, a French athlete specializing in the 3000m steelple, will be absent from Tokyo for the upcoming world championships (13-21 September 2025). Injured last August, she is not sufficiently recovered, despite her efforts to achieve this. With her package, formalized on 4 September, it is a probable medal that flies away.
