Reassurance: Scor charged with charges against his former CEO

The takeover of Bermuda-reinsurance partner Re by the French Covéa in 2022 has a legal re-enactment. The then Scor-supervisory chief Denis Kessler, together with other top managers of the industry, is said to have tried to prevent the deal, according to the accusation of the French justice. An investigation against Scor runs in this context, Kessler died in 2023. Covéa had initially tried to take over Scor, but had failed.

The reinsurer has just been brought under investigation as a legal person in a case which allegedly attempted to defeat the acquisition of Partner Re by the Covéa group in 2022.

The reinsurer Scor is under investigation, as a legal person, in the course of the judicial investigation for acts accused of his former president Denis Kessler. The judicial information concerns facts imputed to the ASPM association accused of attempting to destabilize the Covéa group during its proceedings for the redemption of the reinsurer Partner Re in 2022.
