On the 2nd, the Japan Transport Safety Board revealed that a part controlling the tail rotor of the helicopter that was involved in the medical evacuation helicopter accident off the coast of Iki Island, Nagasaki Prefecture, in which three people died, had broken. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has asked owners of the same type of helicopter to inspect the part and, if a defect is found, to take appropriate measures.
