State Senator Christine Drazan won the Republican primary in Oregon and will face Democratic incumbent Governor Tina Kotek in November, in an attempt to become the first Republican governor in Oregon in 40 years.
Readers respond: Disappointed in Republican primary endorsement
I was disappointed to see The Oregonian/OregonLive endorse Christine Drazan in the Republican primary for governor, (“Editorial endorsement May 2026: Republicans should choose Christine Drazan for a gubernatorial rematch,” April 27). Because I respect the news organization’s role in Oregon civic life, I found the endorsement to be a serious failure of judgment.
