Reader Opinion: Assessment fiasco

The Baxter City Council and the individual council members who vote for the Audubon Way assessments in my opinion knowingly and intentionally violate Minnesota law. An improper assessment is an unconstitutional taking of property. All should be interested in seeing the opinion of the city’s attorney explaining why this can be done.
