Following up on some inquiries we have received, the East Kootenay Emergency Management Program has been in regular contact with the Ministry of Transportation and Transit (MOTT) regarding the mudslides on Cokato Road. The Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) has been advised by MOTT that the two mudslides on Cokato Road have been assessed by Geotechnical Engineers and have been deemed safe.
