- Aprilia recorded back-to-back Grand Prix wins for the first time as Marco Bezzecchi triumphed in Portugal and secured Aprilia's first top-three championship finish.
- Contact on the first lap knocked Francesco Bagnaia out of the race after Johann Zarco caused the incident, while Fabio Di Giannantonio pipped Pedro Acosta to third.
- The 2024 champion, Marc Marquez, served a double long-lap penalty and ended his injury-hit campaign after 15 laps to conserve energy before testing next week, while Aprilia Racing withdrew Jorge Martin as a precaution.
