Danish drugmaker Novo Nordisk has been ordered to add a warning to the packaging of its popular weight-loss drugs Ozempic, Wegovo and Rybelsus about a rare complication called NAION, which can lead to severe vision loss or total blindness, but is very rare, the European Medicines Agency has said.
The dangerous eye disease NAION is now listed as a rare side effect on the package inserts of diet and diabetes medications.
