- Wednesday, Fetty Wap, whose legal name is Willie Junior Maxwell II, was moved from the Federal Correctional Institution in Sandstone, Minnesota, into home confinement supervised by the Bureau of Prisons' Philadelphia Residential Reentry Management Office, CNN reported.
- He was convicted in a drug trafficking conspiracy and sentenced by a federal judge on Long Island to six years in prison and supervised release for conspiracy to distribute cocaine.
- DOJ records show the network distributed more than 100 kilograms of drugs across Long Island and New Jersey, and search warrants seized $1.5 million cash, 16 kilograms of cocaine, two kilograms of heroin, fentanyl pills and firearms.
- Authorities said his supervision runs until Nov. 8 with strict oversight, and in a statement to Billboard, Fetty Wap thanked family, friends and fans while pledging community initiatives and foundation work.
- Among co-defendants, Anthony Cyntje, New Jersey corrections officer, received the same sentence while four additional co-defendants pleaded guilty; court filings detail drug transport from the West Coast using drivers, hidden compartments and the U.S. Postal Service with firearms protection.
