Rapid Depletion of Wood Pellet Stocks Has Driven up Prices

The cold winter weather is causing a shortage of wood pellets in Estonia, and increased demand in neighboring countries is also affecting prices for Estonian consumers, said Henrik Välja, CEO of the Estonian Forest and Wood Industries Association. Argo Kivi, CEO of Briketipoisid OÜ, which produces and sells pellets, added that pellet prices have increased by 25 percent due to the cold wave.
