Rancho Mission Viejo Announces 232 New Homes for Final Phase of the Village of Rienda

On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, Rancho Mission Viejo officials announced that Trumark Homes, Lennar, and Shea Homes will build 232 homes in three new all-age neighborhoods within the Village of Rienda, set to open in Fall 2026.
The 23,000-acre property has been managed by the O'Neill, Moiso, and Avery family since 1882, with approximately 75% permanently preserved as The Nature Reserve supporting habitat conservation and farming operations.
New neighborhoods—Indigo, Primrose, and Sunflower—feature homes ranging from 1,568 to 3,009 square feet, offering residents proximity to the future Rienda School and 6-acre Rienda Park with amenities including sports fields and trails.
This final phase represents one of the last opportunities to purchase market-rate homes in the village until 2027, according to Jim Holas, Vice President of Community Development for Rancho Mission Viejo.
Recognized by the Global Wellness Institute as one of the largest intentional wellness developments, the village sits less than 5 miles from downtown San Juan Capistrano and emphasizes intergenerational living and open space connectivity.
