The interim Minister of Transport, Radu Miruța, has announced that each of the 1,265 trains that circulate daily in Romania will have a designated director in charge of its proper functioning. According to him, the chiefs who have in charge trains on which there are repeated problems will be sanctioned.
Eight of the ten passengers who went by train in Romania say they would not recommend such a journey to anyone. More than 1,700 complaints were sent to the Ministry of Transport due to the conditions of trains. Heat, misery, congestion and delays were the main complaints.
