The crew of Boris Herrmann's Malizia team recently had to solve some problems at the Regatta Course des Caps. The onboard reporter injured herself and three sailmen broke. Meanwhile, the Frenchman Thomas Ruyant ended the race prematurely.
While he was in second place, Thomas Ruyant's VULNERABLE sailboat sailed to Scotland after a damage occurred on the night of July 3 to 4. The damaged mast foot was secured, all sailors are safe and sound.
Thomas Ruyant and his crew on Vulnérable retired last night. Damage to the IMOCA's mast forced the crew to head to the nearest port to secure the boat, Aberdeen in the northeast of Scotland.
