Race car driver killed in Kent at Pacific Raceways identified
The King County Medical Examiner said the 62-year-old died of multiple blunt force injuries after one race car struck another at the track.
On Sunday, July 5, 62-year-old Glenn David Woloski died following a collision at Pacific Raceways in Kent while competing in the Group 9: Formula Ford/Club Ford division.
The Society of Vintage Racing Enthusiasts organized the 38th Annual Pacific Northwest Historics from July 3-5, attracting more than 160 competitors from across the country.
King County Sheriff's Office deputies and King County Fire personnel responded at 2:10 p.m., while the King County Medical Examiner's Office ruled the death an accident caused by multiple blunt force injuries.
Woloski's death marks the second Vintage Racing fatality in 4 years at the track; Jim Bushnell, 63, died on April 23, 2022, after his Porsche collided and rolled over.
The incident remains under investigation, "according to the Sheriff," while neither Pacific Raceways nor SOVREN had posted about the crash on social media as of Monday evening.
