Race Across The World Axed From BBC Schedule This Week Amid Major TV Shake-Up
The BBC moved the penultimate episode to Wednesday as Eurovision semi-final coverage takes priority, and MasterChef shifts to Friday.
The BBC is shifting the penultimate episode of Race Across The World to Wednesday, May 13, at 8pm this week to accommodate the Eurovision Song Contest semi-finals broadcast.
Since premiering last month, the travel competition has aired every Thursday at 8pm, featuring pairs traversing more than 12,000km across Europe and Asia through Italy, Greece, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan.
Pairs are now tackling their eighth and final country, Mongolia, as they race toward Lake Khovsgol, where the first team to reach the finish line will secure a £20,000 reward.
The cooking show MasterChef will also move to Friday, May 15, to accommodate the schedule change, with all content available on BBC One, BBC Radio, and BBC Sounds.
Broadcasts for the Eurovision Song Contest semi-finals take place on May 12 and 14, with the grand final on May 16 at Vienna's Wiener Stadthalle, and coverage beginning on TV at 8pm.
