Unlike almost all other crops, quinoa cultivation in our province suffered virtually nothing from the drought of the past summer. And yet, very little quinoa is grown in our country, even though it is quite popular as a rice substitute. It is known as a superfood, especially among young people. In Herk-de-Stad, quinoa was being harvested in full swing today at the only grower in our province.
