Queensland Force State of Origin Decider After Rampant Win
On Wednesday, Queensland defeated New South Wales 44-24 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, levelling the State of Origin series with a record 36-point second-half haul.
Queensland halfback Sam Walker and Cameron Munster dominated the match, guiding the Maroons to their highest Origin score in 11 years against the Blues.
Winger Cobbo crossed in the 46th and 51st minutes with Jojo Fifita and Lindsay Collins also scoring, while Kotoni Staggs was sin-binned for a high hit on Hamiso Tabuiai-Fidow.
The victory forces a series decider at Suncorp in Brisbane on July 8, 2026, after New South Wales won Game One at Stadium Australia.
Momentum has shifted to the Maroons with the series tied at one game each, setting up a decisive final match in Queensland.
