Queen Letizia of Spain Dons a Playful Tuxedo Blazer Adorned with Feathers for Her First State Visit to Finland
The visit includes meetings on European security, Arctic cooperation and the indigenous Sámi community, and marks Spain’s first state visit to Finland in 37 years.
King Felipe and Queen Letizia arrived in Finland on Monday for a three-day state visit, marking the first time a Spanish king and queen have visited the Nordic country in 37 years.
The visit reinforces Spain's commitment to European security and strategic autonomy, reflecting a partnership within the European Union and NATO regarding shared interests in the Arctic and Baltic regions.
Letizia wore a double-breasted Hugo Boss blazer with a Mango blouse, accessorizing with a Coreterno ring inscribed with "Amor Che Tutto Move," which translates to "Love Moves Everything" from Dante's Divine Comedy.
On Tuesday, Finnish President Alexander Stubb and First Lady Suzanne Innes-Stubb host an official welcome ceremony at the Presidential Palace in Helsinki, while Wednesday features a visit to the Lapland Air Wing in Rovaniemi.
The state visit concludes at the University of Lapland, where Felipe and Stubb will deliver speeches on European security and global cooperation, cementing the diplomatic collaboration between Spain and Finland.
