Quebec to hold public inquiry into trucking-related road deaths
The chief coroner issued a media release on Friday. He said Public Security Minister Ian Lafrenière asked him to hold the inquiry into, specifically, the deaths of Tanya and Elliot Lalonde, who died in a crash on Highway 30 on August 27.
A public inquiry into deaths involving heavy trucks is ordered by the Quebec Chief Coroner. It thus responds to the request of the Minister of Public Safety, Ian Lafrenière.
