QFC-U.S. Chamber of Commerce Collaborate to Broaden
The partnership will focus on wealth management, fintech and digital assets as QFC says more than 350 U.S. companies already use its platform.
The Qatar Financial Centre Authority and United States Chamber of Commerce signed a Memorandum of Understanding in New York during the Qatar Economic Forum and United Nations General Assembly High-Level Week to strengthen bilateral investment engagement.
Building on longstanding economic ties, the agreement supports United States companies looking to expand in the region; the QFC platform already hosts more than 350 United States businesses.
The QFC platform offers up to 100% foreign ownership and repatriation of profits, alongside a competitive 10% corporate tax rate on locally sourced profits to attract international firms.
Both organizations will focus on wealth and asset management, fintech, digital assets, and enterprise technology to create tangible new opportunities, Senior Vice President Khush Choksy noted.
Chief Executive Officer Mansoor Al Khater stated the partnership translates the strong Qatar-United States relationship into greater engagement, helping connect United States companies strategically with regional opportunities.
