TEHRAN — Official documentation submitted by Doha to the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) validates that Iran’s recent defensive measures aimed exclusively at American military infrastructure on Qatari soil, according to Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei.
Qatari foreign officials have confirmed that Iran's targeting of civilian areas and gas installations is documented in United Nations messages, denouncing the selective and misleading quotation of Tehran, and stressing that the interception of attacks does not relieve it of responsibility and violation of international law.
Qatar has provided the International Telecommunication Union with a document proving Iran's exclusive targeting of US military targets, Ettelaat, which stands in stark contrast to Washington's strategy, which regularly strikes civilian targets.
QATAR Foreign Ministry Spokesman Machid al-Ansari said attacks on its territory were a violation of international law, rather than selective excerpts from Iran's security report, stating that attacks on Iran's territory should be based on official records that Qatar has provided to the United Nations (UN).
