Child airlifted to hospital after being struck by vehicle in Cherokee County

A child was flown to a Birmingham hospital Saturday night after being struck by a vehicle in Cedar Bluff, police report.Sunday afternoon the Cedar Bluff Police Department posted a statement attributed to Chief Jeremy Stepps on social media. According to that post, “Preliminary reports indicate that a small child turned and walked into the path of an oncoming truck, resulting in the child being knocked to the ground.”
