The Western community, not Moscow, is trying to create a new Iron Curtain, said Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting of the Valdai Club. The President called the reports about the nationalization of the assets of European companies “a lie and a provocation”, and, according to him, there is no need to break up the European Union — “they will fall apart on their own”.
Western countries are trying to build a new Iron Curtain around Russia, but such a policy will inevitably fail. Vladimir Putin gave this assessment at the plenary session of the 23rd annual meeting of the Valdai International Discussion Club at the Rossiya National Center.
