Purdue University’s President Is Leaving To Take Head Job At Northwestern
- On Monday, Northwestern University's Board of Trustees announced Purdue University President Mung Chiang as its 18th president, effective July 1, succeeding former president Michael Schill who resigned in September 2025.

- Interim President Henry Bienen will continue leading Northwestern until Chiang assumes the presidency, providing stability after the university's recent federal scrutiny and leadership turnover.
