New Purpose for Federal Solar Energy Funds

Energy Czar Josué Colón Ortiz revealed that the federal Department of Energy (DOE) has granted Governor Jenniffer González Colón's request that the remaining $365 million of a $450 million allocation that former President Joe Biden's administration had allocated for the installation of photovoltaic panels and batteries for between 30,000 and 40,000 low-income families be redirected to work to rebuild the country's electrical grid.
